The Centre for Human Security and International Affairs (CHSIA) welcomes applications from motivated and committed graduate, MPhil, and PhD students, as well as researchers, seeking to contribute to research and policy-oriented analysis in international affairs and human security.

We invite applications from candidates with academic backgrounds in International Relations, Security Studies, Defence Studies, Strategic Studies, Economics, Sociology, Geography, Science and Technology, and other related or interdisciplinary fields to join CHSIA as Non-Resident Fellows.

The CHSIA honorary Non-Resident Fellowship offers an opportunity to engage with contemporary geopolitical developments, strategic affairs, and emerging human security challenges. Fellows contribute to the Centre’s intellectual and research activities through independent research, policy analysis, and scholarly writing. The programme provides a platform to deepen subject-matter expertise, strengthen analytical and academic skills, and contribute informed perspectives to contemporary debates on international affairs and human security.

Application Process

Applications are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to clearly indicate their research interests, areas of expertise, and potential contributions to CHSIA in their applications.
